Welcome to Finley Experience

This website is dedicated to LGBT folks who are surviving in this crazy world.

What's good for one isn't necessarily good for another.

Attempting to control the hearts and souls of the masses through force and injustice only forces the seeds of dissension to grow. History has taught this lesson repeatedly. Perhaps, we'll learn the lesson this time.

Hillary Vs. Condie

On the day President-Elect Obama announced his nomination of Hilliary for Secretary of State, I was at my house watching Singing in the Rain. I fell asleep on the love seat and had a dream that was so funny I woke up laughing my ass off!

Think Mel Brooks musical and you might be close to what I dreamed!

The DREAM:
I was sitting in the Centenary Shell (small outdoor stage) which was enormous and located in downtown Shreveport (in reality the Shell is located on Centenary campus). Hillary Clinton was sitting to my left and Condie Rice was in front of me. Obama was on stage announcing his nominees. I had my laptop open (I knew I was dreaming when I realized it wasn't plugged in) and I was taking pictures of the shin-dig. Obama announced Hillary as Secretary of State--the applause was loud, but music over-powered the clapping.
I leaned over to Hillary and said, "So, is this what you got for dropping out of the race?"

Hillary smiled, "It's called Comprimise." She immediately stood and started the decent to the stage. As she approached the stage the music changed into dancehall music and Hillary donned a Condie costume. Hillary walked onto the stage dressed as Condie and began a tap routine.

At this point I leaned over and told Condie, "You don't have to take that shit from her."

"You're right. I don't." Condie answered. "Here hold these for me." She handed me her cell phone and blackberry.

During this whole process I took mad photos, plus video and downloaded them directly to my blog. While I was recording Condie making her way to the stage, the music and Condie changed. Condie climbed the stairs wearing a Hillary Clinton costume. Condie began her own tap routine which abruptly ended as the two costumed women began fighting in the Tom & Jerry cartoon style--a whirlwind of hair, teeth and fists.

A Secret Service agent stopped me from taking pictures, "You need to let me have that cell phone and blackberry. They'll self-destruct if she goes out of range."

"Will they self-destruct if Hillary kicks her ass?"

The Secret Service agent didn't respond, he just shook his head.

(At this point the dream changed, but what happened next makes even less sense).

I still had my laptop and camera, but the Centenary Shell dissolved and I was surrounded by controversial artwork in a bank lobby. As I was taking pictures of the artwork the bank manager came over. He was wearing an Obama costume and attempted to tell me not to take pictures.

"Listen dude, I just got pictures of Hillary and Condie catfighting, you really think I'm going to listen to you?"

Before he could answer a busload of female Centenary student protestors came into the bank carrying signs and chanting. I read the signs, took pictures and started laughing when I realized what they were protesting...All of the bank tellers (except one) were dressed up like Hillary and Condie. The protest was against the one bank teller not wearing a costume.

(I woke up laughing so hard my side hurt and my eyes were watering).

The moral of this dream eludes me, but I can tell you this much: If I could plug a USB cord into my head I would completely download this dream on YouTube!

P.S. Hey, Mel Brooks: You're the man, seriously, the Inquisition scene from History of the World: Part I most closely describes the song and dance routines from my dream!
