Welcome to Finley's Experience

This website is dedicated to LGBT folks who are just trying to survive in this crazy hetero-world. If you enjoy Monique Finley's articles, poetry, and photography, then be sure to check out the artists, writers, and musicians she visits regularly.

What's good for one isn't necessarily good for another. Attempting to control the hearts and souls of the masses of people through force and injustice only forces the seeds of dissension to grow. History has taught this lesson repeatedly, perhaps, we'll learn the lesson this time.

Finley Experience 2nd Annual "International Views" Contest

Hey Ya'll,

In case you were wondering about the contest, we're still rolling along. I owe Russia an apology and a number of additional poems (they only got one out of me last year). As it stands, Russia is well on the way to being the winner for a second year in a row. Now, Germany, you're trailing behind by nearly 400 views, there's still a couple of weeks left in the contest and as we all know the internet is a virus.

So, here's the Google Analytic standings as of 4:20 am 18 May 2012.

Russia
604
Germany
212
Ukraine
176
France
81
Slovenia
71
Italy
67
United Kingdom
64
Canada
50
Netherlands
47

Regardless of who wins, I still owe Russia a couple of poems. So, now that I've graduated, perhaps they'll flow easily.

Vale mea amici!
~Monique

American Military Authorized to Use Gestapo Tactics on American Soil: National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)

President Obama signed the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012 over New Year's weekend while the nation was preoccupied with ringing in the New Year. Main stream media has largely ignored the blatant attack on the Constitution and the Civil Liberties of the American People. Both the House of Representatives and the Senate passed the bill nearly unanimously, the few politicians who voted against the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012 acted in the name of the people. The rest betrayed us for the sake of their corporate cronies...a lawsuit is in process to sue the United States of America: Worldwide Lawsuit Against the US Government

There is a short video and an informative description at the link, so, go, watch, read, follow the link, check it out.

The government has long had a practice of breaking into people's homes and stealing them in the middle of the night. NDAA codifies and legalizes government-sponsored kidnapping and indefinite detention of anyone anywhere in the world, including Americans on American soil! One word: UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!!!!!!!!!!!
